At the end of 2013, Whisler Ridge became the first new neighborhood to be completely built out. KB Home built 68 new energy efficient homes in Whisler Ridge, the first of 5 projects that will bring new residential homes to Lake Forest as part of the Opportunities Study Area.
Energy Efficient Homes
The new homes are the first models of the ZeroHouse 2.0 in the state. The ZeroHouse 2.0 is a technologically advanced energy efficient home that is designed to produce as much energy as it uses. These innovative housing units feature solar panels, and the floor plans range from 3 to 6 bedrooms and 2.5 to 4 bathrooms, ranging in size from 2,321 - 3,261 square feet.
