Foothill Ranch-based Quandis, Inc. is helping servicers and default attorneys avoid violations of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), with the addition of its sophisticated data parsing and analysis technology. Currently, active duty military personnel have certain protections from foreclosure under the SCRA. Lenders and default attorneys are required to run the names on their default list on the Department of Defense (DoD) database before starting foreclosure procedures, or face fines and penalties up to the purchase transaction being rescinded. However, servicers and attorneys lacked the technology to accurately search the DoD database. Not anymore. Quandis’s new technology allows for name variations, and thus lowers the chance that a servicer would miss an active duty member. Quandis SCRA Military Search Service can be used on its own or as part of a case management system. For more information
