Lake Forest-based Panasonic Avionics is one step closer to connecting the skies. Panasonic Avionics recently announced that over 1,000 commercial aircraft are operating on its Global Communications Services network. This network allows passengers to connect to the internet, watch television, and more. Currently, over 50 percent of all airlines use Panasonic Avionics network. It’s goal is to connect an additional 12,000 aircraft to the network, with 600 aircraft projected in 2016 alone.
