Lake Forest-based Tenex Health Inc. recently announced the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave it 510(k) clearance for its TX2 MicroTip device. The TX2 MicroTip is used to treat tendinitis of the shoulder and hip. The new device is two inches longer than Tenexs' previous TX1 device incarnation, which allows doctors to have easier access to patient's shoulders and hips. The device is a disposable surgical instrument that uses ultrasonic energy to detect and remove soft tissue. For more information, visit its website at: www.tenexhealth.com.
